The Hartford Financial Services Group and the New England Center will be sponsoring a national symposium on November 19, 2009 to present current and on-going research to improve the safe mobility of older people. The daylong event will also address policy, design and practical research questions around livable communities and independent living for a life-time. The Hartford, New England Center and the MIT AgeLab have a decade long partnership of sponsoring and conducting research that has advanced the knowledge in the transportation field while developing and distributing some of the nation’s most respected public education materials on older drivers, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and the driving decision.
